What we are looking for

AscellaHealth is looking for a Fulfillment Specialist who will own patient member referrals to ensure that they move along through our custom workflow to ensure that the patient is able to get the appropriate services in a timely manner. He/She/They will ensure the accuracy of the referrals by entering any necessary data, assessing specific requests, and performing any necessary follow-ups. The Fulfillment Specialist will act as the patient advocate guiding them through the process of obtaining pharmaceuticals not available with chain pharmacies.

The location of this position will be a hybrid with in-office hours in our Berwyn office required during the week.

What the position will be doing

  • Provide efficient pharmacy hub services linking prescriptions with the pharmacies best able to fulfill the patient’s specialized needs for the lowest possible price.
  • Utilizing established pharmacy/clinical guidelines for decision-making.
  • Make and receive occasional inbound/outbound calls.
  • Generate any necessary or requested data and reports.
  • Work within the Operations department and across different departments to obtain required information.
  • Maintain a balance of productivity, quality, and timeliness to ensure everything gets accomplished.
  • Create and support an environment that fosters teamwork, cooperation, respect, and diversity.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned

Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities

  • High School diploma, or equivalent, required. A college degree, either 2 or 4 years, is preferred.
  • At least some previous work experience including internships or other employment, preferably in a role interfacing with customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple mediums with all levels within an organization and with clients and customers.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing processes and procedures.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to be highly transparent, ethical, and driven. Relentless attention to detail, and the ability to be a creative self-starter and team player.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
