What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technician / RBT – Paid Training – Part-Time (NYC) position at Ascend ABA?
We are currently hiring Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children with autism in home, school, and community settings throughout NYC.
If you’re studying psychology, education, social work, or a related field — or looking to start a career in ABA — this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience with paid training and ongoing support.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision
- Implement behavior intervention and skill-building programs
- Collect simple data during sessions
- Build rapport with clients and families
- Attend supervision and training sessions

Support completing RBT competency & exam

Schedule:
- Part-time
- Weekday afternoons/evenings (3–8pm typical)
- Weekend availability is a plus
Requirements:
- High school diploma or higher
- Must be reliable and professional
- Comfortable working with children
- Ability to travel to client homes in NYC
- Experience with autism or ABA is a plus, but not required
