Ascendant is recruiting qualified candidates for a Construction Superintendent position to support Federal programs in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, directs, and controls field operations for assigned construction projects.
- Leads, manages, and coordinates the construction workforce (Ascendant personnel and subcontractors) to ensure that quality, schedule, budget, and safety targets are achieved.
- Foster relationships with fellow Ascendant project team members, clients, and subcontractor partners.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional general contractor engaged in general building and civil construction, and or interior fit out.
- Demonstrated understanding of building plans, specifications, and construction means and methods associated with the renovation and construction of commercial and institutional buildings and related site work.
- Effective communication skills with all project stakeholders.
- Federal Government project experience is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain security clearance.
