About the Role:
The Engagement Manager is responsible for overseeing service delivery and contractor engagement across marketing technology and operations initiatives. This role is centered on aligning marketing workflows and SDLC processes to drive operational efficiency, campaign excellence, and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate has deep experience in marketing program delivery, understands digital marketing tools and systems, and can navigate the full software development lifecycle to ensure executional success.
Key Responsibilities
Program Execution & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with marketing stakeholders to understand campaign, martech, and personalization goals and translate them into actionable technical delivery plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including contractors, product managers, engineers, and analytics to deliver initiatives aligned with the SDLC
- Ensure marketing programs and tooling enhancements are delivered with scalability, quality, and operational readiness
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release coordination in collaboration with technical leads
- Conduct regular business reviews (MBRs/QBRs) to assess project health, delivery progress, blockers, and future opportunity areas
- Align program outcomes with marketing KPIs (engagement, conversion, retention) and business goals
Customer Success & Value Optimization
- Ensure contractor work aligns with business expectations, brand guidelines, and compliance requirements
- Serve as a trusted delivery advisor to marketing and product stakeholders, ensuring early identification of risks and proactive course correction
- Analyze performance data, operational efficiency, and feedback to improve engagement and delivery models
- Collaborate with Business Development and Sales to identify scalable solutions and service expansion opportunities
- Support the integration and adoption of emerging marketing tools (e.g., CDPs, AI-driven segmentation, real-time messaging platforms)
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead and support a distributed team of contractors across various marketing and technical functions
- Drive a collaborative culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement across all delivery channels
- Mentor and guide contractors to elevate output and foster skill development aligned with evolving business needs
- Manage performance expectations, track milestones, and ensure delivery KPIs are consistently met
- Create feedback loops and recognize outstanding work to foster team engagement
Required Skills
- Marketing Expertise: Strong understanding of digital marketing programs, campaign operations, customer engagement, and martech tooling
- SDLC Experience: Familiarity with software development practices and lifecycle management in a marketing or customer experience context
- Program Management: Proven experience managing multiple marketing or technical initiatives concurrently, ideally in a fast-paced tech or e-commerce environment
- Communication & Influence: Ability to interface with stakeholders across marketing, engineering, product, and leadership with clarity and confidence
- Tools & Platforms: Experience with project management and marketing systems such as Jira, Asana, Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $110,000 to $150,000 USD annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
