Medical Assistant (Floater)
ADS is seeking full-time Medical Assistant to float between clinics, as well as work with Adult and Pediatrics. The position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients by assisting with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a primary care provider or Nurse Practitioner. Duties include: Interviews patients, Measures vital signs and records information on patients’ charts, Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients, Use Standard Precautions with all patients, specimens and equipment, Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and Performs’ other duties as needed.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have reliable, insured transportation with a valid driver's license.
- Must have one year of clinical experience
- Completion of accredited Medical Assistant Course
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or completion of certification within 90 days of employment
- Understanding of accepted nursing and medical standards
- Must have experience working with a diverse population.
- Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal and written.
- Must be computer literate
Preferred:
- Medical Assistant Certification
- At least one year experience with Electronic Medical Records.
