Summary of Position
Provide supervision and direction to employees to ensure successful completion of assigned duties and tasks while adhering to department safety protocol. Responsible for implementing a driven, team-oriented culture, which embraces continuous improvements and ensures across the board operational and process excellence in all areas
Essential Functions
Supervise and manage activities directly related to daily business and department needs.
Develop, analyze and deliver simple to complex information to direct reports
Effectively communicate daily schedules, goals, quality issues/ concerns between shifts to ensure customer expectations are met.
Provide mentoring, leadership and direction to employees under the lead’s supervision
Ensure individuals receive job-specific training and make sure personnel are compliant with all applicable training requirements
Assign work assignments based on daily department needs, ensure quality products are produced and successfully achieve department metrics.
Assisting management in establishing and achieving program goals and objectives for the department including Continuous Improvement projects
Identify and elevate issues to management
Facilitate assessment of team’s knowledge, skill and ability for accomplishing project/tasks and provide necessary on-the-job training, coaching, mentoring.
Fabricating and revising fixtures, jigs, gauges, hand applies and special tooling and components
Interpretation of blueprints, Model Based Definition information, sketches and specifications
Review of engineering information, tool design drawings and customer requirements to determine methods and sequence of operations to fabricate tools
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Any additional duties assigned by management
Required Skills, Education & Experience
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, experience with conventional machines, jig and fixture manufacturing.
5 years’ experience leading/supervising employees in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22.C.F.R. § is required
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work varied shifts, overtime and weekends when necessary.
Has confidence in leading processes, projects and looks for opportunities.
Ability to work with management team to help drive performance of location.

Work with safe manufacturing processes and understanding that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.
Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the manufacturing area.
