Job Summary: To complete the exporting and processing of all jobs from MBS into Tekla modeling software, which is then exported and processed successfully thru Cortex programming software before release to robotic welding units in manufacturing, including delivery of information that supports efficient manufacturing practices based on production schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Evaluates MBS release data and coordinates data correction process with ACT Coordinator and Production Control Personnel to meet required production schedules.
- Prepares Tekla model for every production order utilizing corrected frame data, engineering welding standards and robotic operational limitations to develop robotic operational files.
- Exports job data from Tekla into Cortex program as required to meet production schedule.
- Verifies Cortex data accuracy, edits individual part programs to maximize manufacturing efficiency and creates final operations file that is loaded to the robotic operator station.
- Provides efficiency, welding parameters, productivity and other operational reports to assist management to improve operations and increase efficiency.
- Monitors robotic operations, makes program adjustments, establishes standards library, develops manufacturing limitations of robotic operations.
- Works with design engineers and detailing personnel to determine efficient changes in product that will improve production flow.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Continued education such as a college degree or vocational diploma/certificate is a plus.
Prior experience or knowledge of robotics and / or manufacturing.
Demonstratable proficiency of Tekla Structural program.
AutoCAD experience is a plus.
MBS (Metal Building Software) knowledge will be an advantage to the successful candidate.
