Ascent Resources is seeking a Land Technician. This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK and will report to a Supervisor in the Land Department. This position will assist landmen with land operations, acquisitions, divestitures, and other land activities. This person must be exceedingly well-organized, flexible, and able to balance multiple priorities. Job title will be representative of experience and ability.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, organize, and process land documents
- Review and track title in order to maintain accuracy and completeness
- Verify and coordinate vendor invoices
- Prepare contracts, agreements, correspondence, and various other land documents for execution with surface owners, royalty interest owners, working interest owners, and other partners
- Update land management systems with new contracts and other pertinent changes
- Coordinate with accounting and land administration to answer inquiries related to division orders, asset sales, leasing, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Prepare divisions of interests to be used for well proposals and division orders
- Prepare and send well proposal letters, joint operating agreements, and declarations of pooled unit to partners
- Field inquiries and appropriately respond to partner and owner relations issues
- Continually update lease records and monitor monthly lease obligations
- Assists with special projects assigned by management

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Being extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi‐task with strong communication and planning skills are all important for this position
- Able to analyze title, preparing divisions of interest, and contract preparation
- Knowledge and understanding of working interest and net revenue interest calculations, lease and contract terms, and regulatory filings
- Invoice processing and AFE preparation
Education & Work Experience Required
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Energy Management or related field
- 2 years of industry experience
- 3 years of experience as a Land Technician, Land Assistant and/or Land Analyst
- Prior experience using a land management system such as Dynamics
- Prior upstream E&P Industry experience
