The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities and sales staff
The Sales Manager is accountable for directing the sales team and exceeding monthly Store goals by coaching and mentoring each Sales Associate to meet their individual sales quota and achieving maximum profitability and growth in line with Ashley Home Store’s vision and values.
Overall, the Sales Manager contributes to the Ashley high performance culture by modeling our core values and engaging in sales activities that keep the Ashley brand as the #1 home furnishings market leader in style, selection, quality, and value.
Primary Job Functions
- Develops Sales Professionals by training and implementing the company’s sales strategies
- Implements company’s sales programs to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability
- Understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performance
- Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for maximum efficiency in customer coverage.
- Assist in customer service issues that affect the sales department
- Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance of sales goals and employee relations.
- Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Sales Professionals
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Adheres and effectively executes the company’s standard selling processes, assuring all DC’s are executing the fundamentals of selling as set by the company.
- Conduct Saturday and Sunday sales meetings with sales staff, following the company meeting guidelines
- Directs traffic during busy times to ensure all customers are being serviced according to the World Class Selling Basics as set by the company
- Implement company’s sales programs to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability
- Create and manage development plan for SAM and other managers in training in the sales department
- Oversee Delivery Team
- Oversee and maintain warehouse processes to ensure all are executed
- Maintain the housekeeping of front and back of house
- Maintain physical condition of he warehouse
- Coordinates the Transport of finished goods between warehouse locations as needed
- Oversee store repairs Fix/tighten product on the showroom
- Oversee the coordination of pickups and take-withs as needed
- Oversee product deliveries and returns including between and from stores
- Ensure integrity of transfer logs, repair logs, parts spreadsheets and checks off delivery
- Follow all safety protocol
- Abide by the Manager Integrity Statement and always uphold company values
- Communicate masterfully at all levels, ability to write and speak clearly and informatively
- Recruit Retail Sales Professionals
- Leadership and mentoring of General Manager, Sales Team, and CSR Team
- Routinely perform and manage the Morning Huddle process at 930am and 1130am, nightly checkouts for each associate are being done, and monitoring the integrity of Trax traffic and opportunity data
- Key holder in charge of closing store down and closing processes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,655.00 - $151,574.00 per year
