Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Fish Processor to join our team. The Fish Processor will be responsible for handling, processing, and packaging fish products in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Fish Handling: Receive, sort, and prepare fish for processing, ensuring that all products meet quality standards.
- Processing: Operate machinery and use hand tools to clean, cut, fillet, and portion fish according to specifications.
- Packaging: Weigh, wrap, and package fish products for shipment or retail sale, ensuring proper labeling and adherence to packaging guidelines.
- Quality Control: Inspect fish for quality, freshness, and defects, and remove any unsuitable products from the production line.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following proper cleaning procedures and adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to meet production goals and ensure efficient workflow.
- Compliance: Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, including HACCP and FDA guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in fish processing, food production, or a related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks in a cold, wet environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and accuracy in processing and packaging.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with coworkers.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
