Duration: Contract (12 months) with potential to convert to FTE based on performance and budget (no guarantee)
Pay Rate: $37-$ 41.95/Hr
Working Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Position Description
A Fortune 50 company in New Jersey is seeking a Contingent Workforce / Contingent Labor Analyst to join on an initial 12-month contract. This role supports the organizations contingent workforce program by ensuring proper worker classification, SOW vs. staff augmentation alignment, and accurate worker tracking and reporting.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in the contingent labor space either from an MSP environment or in-house contingent workforce program operations and can confidently partner with business stakeholders to guide the right engagement model (SOW deliverables-based vs. time & materials / contingent labor) while maintaining compliance and clean data.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter resource for contingent workforce program operations, including worker tracking, reporting, and engagement governance.
- Partner with hiring managers and business unit leaders to evaluate requests and determine whether work should be structured as:
- SOW (deliverables/outcomes-based), or
- Contingent labor / staff augmentation (time & materials)
- Assess statements of work for appropriate structure, scope clarity, and alignment to the correct labor category.
- Identify misclassifications and guide stakeholders toward the correct engagement model to reduce risk and improve compliance.
- Support program governance by maintaining accurate worker records, tracking key program data, and ensuring consistent intake/documentation processes.
- Build and maintain Excel-based reporting and dashboards for stakeholder updates, audits, trend analysis, and program insights.
- Communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders (procurement, HR, legal, finance, business units) to resolve questions and drive adoption of program standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of program processes, documentation, and analytics.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5 years of experience supporting or operating within a contingent workforce program, either:
- on the MSP side, or
- internally at a company managing contingent labor and/or SOW-based services
- Strong working knowledge of:
- SOW vs. staff augmentation / T&M models
- worker tracking and program operations
- labor classification concepts and common misclassification scenarios
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation, reporting, formatting for executive-ready outputs).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, spot inconsistencies, and tell a clear story.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with business leaders and hiring managers.
- Must be local to New Jersey and able to work hybrid/on-site a few days per week.
Preferred:
- Experience in a large enterprise / Fortune-level environment.
- Familiarity with VMS tools and contingent workforce program workflows (intake, approvals, tracking, reporting).
- Experience supporting procurement or workforce compliance/governance processes.
