Steward POSITION: StewardDEPARTMENT: Food and BeverageREPORTS TO: Steward SupervisorFLSA STATUS: Part-time Hourly, Non-Exempt SUMMARY ASM Global has an immediate opening for a Steward at the Tech Port Center & Arena located in San Antonio, Texas. The Steward is responsible for Maintain and clean inventory of small wares, utensils, and kitchen supplies. Keeps area, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitary. Maintain safe and sanitary working conditions for kitchen personnel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area. Follow rules and regulations of ASM Global Food & Beverage. Interact with customers and clients in a pleasant and professional manner. Monitors stock levels, obtains supplies and equipment as requested by management. Ensures that all small wares and utensils and assigned areas are kept clean and orderly. Organize and properly store perishables for cooks and receiving and issuing clerks. Performs and assists with routine inventory on a daily basis of all required stock per area of responsibility. Demonstrates exceptional time management skills and responds promptly to last minute requests. Consistently follows departmental guidelines for sanitation and safety standards. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and holidays. Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handler's Permit upon hire. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Basic working knowledge of food and beverage. Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work. Positive attitude and neat appearance. This position requires continuous stooping and lifting up to 25 lbs, substantial standing and walking. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds and be able to walk long distances. This position requires work in multiple climates including indoor and outdoor. This position requires minimal stooping and lifting, but substantial walking. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
