ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Bartenders for ASM Stockton. Responsible for providing high quality customer service during all events, to achieve customer satisfaction and accurate accounting of all transactions and including inventory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include setting up and servicing individual beverage locations, properly handling cash, enforcing all liquor laws, verifying and accounting for all liquor inventory, maintaining proper sanitation of work area, following proper safety practices, providing pleasant and efficient service to customers, reporting to F&B Personnel in appropriate uniform, preparing all beverage items for sale, selling to customers charging amount indicated on ASM price list, receiving and handling cash and/or tickets, accurately verifying all cash and liquor inventory with supervisor, verifying cash register is programmed properly, following Bar Procedures, following all rules and regulations which apply to beverage operations and ASM Food and Beverage Division, requesting identification for every guest purchasing alcohol, and performing other related duties as assigned by Food Service Manager. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications include being at least 21 years of age, ability to take directions and perform work effectively, sufficient math ability to count and handle money, basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures, ability to speak and understand English well, pleasant personality and neat appearance, ability to stand and walk for duration of shift, ability to carry and lift according to industry standards, ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit upon hire, and ability to attend all ASM Alcohol and Policy Training classes. Education and/or Experience required include basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures, sufficient math ability, basic working knowledge of bar operation, ability to follow directions, pleasant personality and neat appearance, English proficiency, and 3 months or more of professional experience. Skills and Abilities required include positive customer service-oriented attitude, strong knowledge of sanitary practices, proper grooming and dress code standards, strong urgency and quality in a team environment, ability to work with other staff members, ability to complete multiple tasks, and attention to detail. Computer skills are not required. Other qualifications include ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and holidays. Physical demands include moving around the facility, standing for long hours during events, talking and hearing, and possible work inside or outside the building as needed by events.
