REPORTS TO: Union Crew Chief
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
This position assists in the set-up and break down of select events at the North Charleston Coliseum, Convention and Performing Arts Centers (the Facilities).
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Works directly under the Union Crew Chief or touring Production Manager.
Should be proficient and experienced at one or more of the following jobs:
Perform other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated knowledge or experience in stagehand work. Clean and neat in appearance. At least sixteen (18) years of age. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for those with disabilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to speak and understand English.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform physical labor.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

- Loaders Load and unload trucks and carry articles from trucks. Transports include stage and technical equipment; props; sets; cases; wardrobes; etc.
- Electricians Wire and maintain temporary and permanent electrical circuitry. Experience required.
- Spotlight Operators Operate follow spotlights. Experience required.
- Sound Technicians Set-up and operate house or traveling sound system. Experience required.
- Lighting Technicians Set-up and focus gel instruments and operate the lighting console. Experience required.
- Carpenters Responsible for building and maintaining a wide variety of stage sets, props, etc. Experience required.
- Wardrobe Washing, ironing, sewing and other related activities. Related experience a plus. Work a wide variety of hours, which are contingent on Facilities bookings. Hours include nights, weekends, and holidays.
