The Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of nursing practices, healthcare systems, and regulatory compliance. The Director of Nursing will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans while maintaining adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Lead and manage nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of medical records in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Oversee nurse management activities, including staffing, scheduling, and training.
- Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure quality assurance and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes in acute care settings and home health environments.
- Stay updated on advancements in nursing practices and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance.
- Management level nursing position that maintains direct contact with patients and integration with patient care
- Responsible for coordinating, training, scheduling, and team development among the nursing staff
- Manages the continuing education of the nursing staff
- Maintains an ongoing quality assurance program
- Assists in planning the nursing services portion of resident discharge plans
- Leads others through actions consistent with and serve our culture
- Participates in facility surveys by government agencies
Qualifications
- · Current Kansas RN or multistate RN license
- Must have experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility
- Service-oriented (positive, enthusiastic, empathetic and respectful demeanor)
- Able to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
- Capable of organizing tasks and managing multiple priorities

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
