Medical Equipment Intake & Insurance Specialist (Full-Time)
Location: Fresno, CA
Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 – $35.00

Aspen Lake Medical Equipment is hiring a Medical Equipment Intake & Insurance Specialist in the Central Valley. Key Responsibilities:
Review and manage incoming DME orders and referrals from hospitals and care providers
Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete for insurance billing and regulatory compliance
Verify insurance coverage, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans
Obtain authorizations when needed and collaborate with the billing team
Accurately enter patient and order data into internal systems and maintain audit-ready records
Communicate order status and next steps with internal teams, patients, and healthcare partners
Monitor intake-related supply and equipment needs, alerting the department manager to avoid delays
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or medical admin coursework preferred
Prior experience with DME intake, insurance verification, or healthcare billing is strongly preferred
Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance rules for DME is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and systems such as Brightree, Kareo, or other EHR/DME software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and dependable, with strong attention to detail
Spanish language skills are a plus and appreciated in supporting our diverse patient community
Physical Requirements:
Primarily a desk-based role working at a computer
Occasional light physical activity may be required (handling documents, reviewing equipment, etc.)
