Volleyball Head Coach

Description

Are you an energetic and enthusiastic individual who has a passion and knowledge for competitive volleyball? Asphalt Green Volleyball Club is seeking coaches to work with our club based on the Upper East Side. Qualified individuals will have played volleyball at a competitive level and will have coaching experience, either at the club, high school, or collegiate level.

Head coaches will lead a team of 12 girls in player and team development from mid-November through June and will supervise at least one assistant coach for the season. The head coach will also be the lead in parent communication and the liaison between parents and the club’s support staff.

Assistant coaches will help primarily with player development and will gain valuable experience through leading technical training, head coach mentoring, and by attending coaching development sessions.

Season schedule (August - June)

• Team Training (September – June)*

• Mondays & Wednesdays– 6:15pm-9:15pm (only 1.5 hours)
• Saturdays – between 1:30pm– 7:30pm (only 1.5 hours)

• Tournament Schedule (January – June)
  • Scheduled Weekends (including holidays)

Compensation

Head Coach- $4,500

Assistant Coach- $3,290

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have played volleyball at a competitive level.
• Coaching Experience at either the club, high school, or collegiate level.
• Must have excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with coaches, players, and families.
• Must become certified in USAV/GEVA mandated USOC SafeSport requirements.
• Must have availability for the following schedule:

Season schedule (August - June)

• Team Training (September – June)*
  • Mondays & Thursdays – between 4:30pm – 9pm
  • Saturdays – between 11am – 4pm
• Tournament Schedule (January – June)
  • Scheduled Weekends (including holidays)

Job Requirements

Must have availability on Monday and Thursday evenings for practice, from November to June for monthly coaching development sessions, and weekend availability for practice (Saturday late morning or afternoon) as well as weekend tournament play.

Salary : $20 - $25
