What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Advisor position at AssemblySystems?
Interstate Assembly Systems is looking for a Service Advisor with knuckle boom and material handling crane experience to join our Marshfield, Wisconsin service team.
This individual will assist our customers in person and over the phone, using our processes and customer experience standards. All aspects of the service transaction, from taking appointment to completing invoice and collecting from customer are the responsibility of this person.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Check in all units over the phone or in person asking good questions about the equipment issues
- Write and present accurate quotes and estimates with a deep parts and labor knowledge of cranes
- Work with outside vendors for sublet work needed on customer units.
- Organize and manage the service schedule ensuring timely completion of customer units and workflow in the shop
- Manage technician time and monitor repair progress for maximum efficiency
- Promptly communicate with the customer as the repair progresses, giving appropriate updates
- Explain the work and charges to the customer when the job is complete and collect payment
- Assist with warranty claims at branch level and work with warranty department to ensure maximum warranty recovery with vendors.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED
- Working Experience in heavy trucks and/or equipment operation
- Great phone and in person communication skills
- Type efficiently
- Ability to navigate multiple vendor applications and websites
Physical Demands:
- Frequent to continuous seated work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
