JOB SUMMARY
Asset Based Lending ("ABL") is seeking a Senior Accountant with extensive experience and proficiency in NetSuite development and configuration to strengthen our Accounting Department’s integration with the Netsuite System. This individual will be integral to incorporating all standard accounting functions into our newly deployed NetSuite system, with a primary focus on our lending side business. The candidate must exhibit exceptional attention to detail, teamwork, and the capacity to multitask in a high-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills, both internally and externally, are essential for this role. Our NJ lending team is highly customer-centric and is experiencing significant growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate continuous improvement in their work standards and efficiently handle competing priorities.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working alongside the accounting team to primarily support the continued development of NetSuite, including but not limited to the following key initiatives:
- Integration with third-party systems, including a CRM, Time and Expense Platform, and HR platform
- Continued development of custom lending module
- Custom reporting, including ad hoc reports, reconciliations, and financial status
- Implementation of budgeting and pro-forma modules
- Implementation of contract management modules
- OCR (Optical Character Recognition) implementation for payables
- Coordination with NetSuite consultant firms to complete the goals
- Additional accounting responsibilities could be assigned, which could include the following:
- Reconciling cash, positions, and accruals with external sources
- Ensuring all supporting schedules are accurate and up-to-date
- Posting accounting entries to the general ledger (NetSuite)
- Maintaining and reconciling GL accounts, including prepaid expenses, accruals, accounts receivable/payable, and others
- Tracking accounts receivable and managing payment collections
- Monitoring aging accounts receivable and payable, researching, and resolving payment discrepancies as necessary
- Compiling statements, creating worksheets, and preparing schedules for audits
- Communicating with borrowers regarding interest and payoff calculations
- Collaborating with Servicer (FCI) to confirm payoff figures and reconcile interest
- Preparing monthly remittance reports for multiple counterparties
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in NetSuite configuration, administration, and reporting
- 5 years of work experience in Financial Accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or advanced degree preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Strong analytical skills with a logical and critical approach to problem-solving
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks and requests in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and Pivot Tables
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, and as a collaborative team member
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
