What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driving Instructor position at Assist Driver Training?
Assist Driver Training is seeking part time Driving Instructors for behind-the-wheel driving instruction. Driver’s Education Certification and prior driving instruction experience strongly preferred. The Driving Instructor is responsible for preparing both high school students and adults for their SC Driver’s license in accordance with the SC driving regulations. This is a behind the wheel instructional role. The instructor is responsible for teaching the fundamentals of operating a vehicle safely and proper driving management techniques. This position pays between $15 and $22 per hour. Previous driving instruction is a plus, but we will train the right person.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Applicant must be at least 25 years of age.
- Driver’s Education Certification preferred.
- Five or more years’ experience as a driver and a clean ten year driving record.
- Valid SC driver’s license in good standing required.
- Prior Drivers Education Instruction experience is a plus.
- Maintain all required certifications outlined by the SCDMV.
- Able to sit & assist with driving for prolonged periods.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Navigating some technology is required, we use an online scheduling system.
- Must demonstrate a high degree of integrity and honesty.
- Able to pass a national background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
