What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook Supervisor- Per Diem position at Assisted Living?
United Methodist Homes, a nonprofit senior living organization serving its -140-year mission to provide relationship-centered care, is currently seeking a Per Diem Cook Supervisor to work on our Wesley Village campus located in Shelton, CT in our Assisted Living Community: Wesley Heights.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Preparing food for a senior population, catering to varied diet requirements.
- Adhering to all federal, state and company policies on service, sanitation, etc.
- Ability to effectively manage other dining team members.
- Flexibility to jump in and do whatever needs to be done.
- Impeccable customer service skills and a genuine love and respect for seniors.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience cooking in a senior living or other health care environment.
- ServSafe Certification.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Willingness to undergo a complete background check, including physical and drug screen.
