We are currently seeking applicants for an experienced Energy Contracts Originator/Negotiator in the Engineering & Operations division located in Springfield, MO. In this position you will manage forward-looking energy contracting activities, including strategy, risk identification, negotiation, origination, administration, and evaluation of strategic commercial opportunities related to natural gas supply, pipeline transportation, coal supply, rail transportation, renewables (wind, solar, hydropower), long-term power supply, generation development alternatives, transmission interconnection requests and similar activities.
For consideration, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a technical field and/or have experience in contract drafting/negotiation for wholesale power or energy, fuels supply and transportation, utility scale generation project procurement or development. Strong technical writing skills, attention to detail, effective communication skills and considerable coordination/reporting are necessary to fulfill essential job functions.
