What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Imaging Assistant position at Associated Eye Care, Ltd?
We are looking for 2 individuals to join our Imaging team! This position will either primarily working in our Stillwater & Lino Lakes clinics or our Hudson and New Richmond clinics.
Position Summary
The Special Testing Technician will assist providers in day-to-day clinic flow and delivering the highest standards of patient care by following the policies and procedures of the clinic operation and physician direction. This position will require a flexible, forward-thinking individual who is able to adapt in a changing work environment, is a team player, and is dedicated to providing quality internal customer and patient service. A willingness to take on additional responsibilities related to all AEC company and patient health information is essential in this position as the organization grows and patient needs expand.
Special Testing Technician Essential Functions
- Performs diagnostic testing including but not limited to visual field tests, photos, and OCT imaging.
- Import patient images into electronic health records, noting specific exam components per protocol.
- Participates in training and meets requirements in HIPAA compliance and Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Open and willing to try new workflows and ideas to improve efficiency and quality of care.
Other Essential Functions
- Must be willing and able to work in various locations as needed.
- Must present self at the workstation, ready for work, at the scheduled time.
- Works with all AEC providers
- Participates in department and company meetings, as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
