ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a flat-knife cutter to prepare printed jobs for folding or shipping, cutting of POS for stock and miscellaneous finish work. Prepare jobs to be distributed to stores and customers as well as record shipping information in billing system (how, when, quantity, etc.).
- Work on various bindery and finishing equipment such as perfing, folding, numbering, stitching, shrink wrapping, binding, etc.
- Prepare papers for pressman to print.
- Prepare point of sales and other promotional materials to be sent to stores.
- Maintain equipment to ensure safe operation and longevity.
- Keep work environment clean.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- General print shop, cutter and folding knowledge (experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate).
- Able to plan and organize workload, while ensuring the highest quality of work and meeting deadlines.
- Able to operate and maintain cutters as well as small bindery equipment.
- General knowledge of retail store operations and basic warehouse operations (i.e. shipping and stocking).
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination with a minimum of one year of relevant job experience with demonstrated competency.
- Ability to understand work orders, follow written and verbal directions with superior attention to detail.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS
Job consists of prolonged standing and being on your feet. Work is done in a print shop environment consisting of loud noises. Continuous use of moving equipment with repeated lifting, bending and movement is required.
