Recovery Support Specialist- Living Room

We are looking for a Bilingual Recovery Support Specialist for our Living Room Program who exemplifies that mission, and who wants to work for an organization that makes a difference. What will you be doing?
- Provide crisis assistance in a safe, comfortable environment to guests who are experiencing a mental health crisis.
- Utilize personal or lived experience to develop rapport and engage guests, while also supporting guests with active use of positive coping skills.
- Support guests in developing crisis stabilization plans.
- Assist guests with resource identification and link guests to their preferred resources.
- Consult with Living Room team members and other Behavioral Health providers to identify and address guest concerns and coordinate services.
- Assist in the daily maintenance of the Living Room program facility and identify program needs.
- Complete documentation of mental health services provided in accordance with state and agency standards as applicable.
What will you bring to the table?
- An RSS is an individual with personal lived experience in recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges who has or is able to obtain the Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credential within one year of date of hire.
- Flexibility with scheduling is required in order to address the needs of the population served, which may include days, evening, overnights, weekends, and/or holidays. The Living Room will expand to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services (preferred) or a High School diploma with 1-2 years of experience working in the mental health field.
