Remote Opportunity for local candidates in Lake Forest, CA! Need to physically pickup equipment.

Looking for a remote Customer Service Representative to help customers with their mainly specialty locks.

Calls may include issues with swiping their phone or using the pin pad and not unlocks their doors. These are typically more escalated calls because people could be locked out of their houses.

  • Experience Needed: Tech Support is a plus but not needed, Call Center experience, strong soft-skills (outgoing, quick learner, sharp)
  • Schedule: 8hr shift between 6:30am and 4:30pm. 2 Saturdays per month. These will be on a rotating schedule and will still get 2 days off that week, so never work more than 5 days/week.
  • First day: Arrive at HQ office in Lake Forest at 7am to pick up equipment and get logged in. This usually takes no more than 30mins and return home and log in for virtual training at 10am.
  • Start Date: Monday 2/06
  • Long term $18hr

General Duties:

  • Receives consumer calls and emails in regards to problems, installation instructions and general product information.
  • Answers high volume incoming technical support calls.
  • Offers knowledge to consumers and directing them to the proper source if necessary.
  • Handles a strong volume of calls with tact, diplomacy, and strong consumer service orientation in accordance with company guidelines.
  • While working with consumers over the phone completes information on computer screen with all of the pertinent data.
  • Requires basic knowledge of computer software for data input and retrieval.
  • Responds to consumer repairs and requests according to Consumer Service procedures.
  • Evaluate product problems, determines if product needs to be scrapped or if it can be repaired.
  • Assist consumers on product such as installation techniques, product features and models etc. as requested by consumer service supervisor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least one (1) year experience in a product-based customer support function and/or call center environment is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in the hardware and home improvement industry preferred.

-Technical mindset and the willingness to learn - most of this position is self taught - the biggest thing is their personality and willingness to learn. They want someone self motivated

  • Type 35 WPM.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
