What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Support Specialist position at Aston Carter?
Description :
- On a day-to-day basis, you will be acting as a Remote Gate Agent supporting thousands of drivers across the country using a two-way Audio / video communication to verify / identity any necessary specifications on trucks and processes, while coordinating, communicating, and providing updates on a daily basis to all parties involved in the arrival, loading, unloading and departure at warehouses, facilities and distribution centers.
- We are looking for candidates that are extremely detail oriented, can work in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency, and are quick learners and technically savvy.
- This team is able to take on all gate operations and allow those associates onsite to focus on the daily operations onsite that need to be completed.
- On a daily basis, you will be speaking to roughly 200 drivers a day, so excellent and clear communication is a must.
Must Haves :
- Strong customer service skills; supporting via phone.
- Strong computer skills; including navigating multiple computer screens and databases at once, as well as Excel utilization.
- Thrive in a fast past, high production, metric driven environment
Additional Skills & Qualifications :
- 1 year of high volume (Call Center) customer support experience
- Strong job tenure required.
- Someone who can follow an SOP strong problem-solving skills is a must!
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and keyboard short cuts. Must be proficient in computers!
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at once, and must have ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
