Food Production Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervises meat production output. Ensures product is made according to product specifications, and complies with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Submit reports on performance and progress of employees to upper management. Disciplines employees as necessary
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
• Communicate Job Expectations and train new employees on how to safely use machinery, make products according to specifications, and follow company procedures
• Enforce strict food safety and worker safety policies.
• Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process, studying methods, suggesting cost reductions or process improvements, working with Upper Management to facilitate corrections to malfunctions within production process
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.
• Communicates daily with USDA Inspector on site regarding food safety and other concerns the Inspector may have
• Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change as needed.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Production Planning, Controls and Instrumentation, Dealing with Complexity.
• Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
• Experience in meat production is a plus
• Decision maker

• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools

• Problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
