We currently are looking to hire attentive childcare workers. This is a new daycare, privately run with low ratios and employee's well-being at the forefront of its ethos. The candidates will perform all duties necessary to ensure that children’s basic needs are taken care of. The teacher’s responsibilities include playing with, and supporting children, introducing children to new, age-appropriate hobbies, and sanitizing all toys and play areas. You should also be able to identify and address developmental milestones and difficulties.
To be successful as a childcare worker, you should be able to maintain progress reports of all children under your care. Ultimately, an exceptional childcare worker will cultivate a safe and loving environment that is conducive to growth and learning.
We are hiring assistants, leads and floaters.
Teacher Requirements:
- Providing basic care for children which includes assisting potty training and changing diapers.
- Developing age-appropriate socialization skills in children.
- Encouraging positive behavior
- Using various learning methods such as stories, games, and crafts to intellectually stimulate children.
- Identifying behavioral problems and developing appropriate strategies to address them.
- Attending staff meetings, and workshops.
- Hold or assist in parent-teacher meetings to address any issues, concerns, or parent complaints.
- Providing a pleasant, safe, and sanitary environment.
- Communicating with parents and providing updates on children’s progress.
Childcare Teacher Requirements:
Essential:
- NC Early Childhood Administration Credential or its equivalent (NCECAC; Level 1 or higher)
- EDU 119
Or
- A degree in early childhood education or child development or a degree in any major with 12 semester hours in early childhood education
- At least 2 years of full-time verifiable early childhood experience in an early childhood center teaching young children
- Clear criminal background check or prepared to undergo one
- Certification in first aid and CPR
- In-depth understanding of childhood development.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Attentive and patient.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.25 - $16.75 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
