Engineering Mechanic

Pay: $35-40/hr

Shift: 1st shift ~9a-5p M-f

Terms: 6 month contract (possibility of conversion perm)

Essential duties and responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

• Assist the site Engineering Director and CI Technician to develop ideas for improving line uptime, reduce crewing and/or increase line speed.
• Develop and execute solutions on existing packaging lines and processes to support plant initiatives
• Fabricate or oversee the fabrication of parts.
• Maintain equipment in safe operating condition.
• Welding for equipment repair or fabrication.
• Perform minor electrical installation and control work
• Communicate information with other team members and supervisors daily.
• Repair equipment breakdowns using diagnosis and troubleshooting techniques with the aid of equipment manuals and blueprints.
• Initiate changes and modifications to equipment for safety, ease of operation, and efficiency.
• Inform the MRO clerk of recommendations for appropriate spare parts.
• Comply with the company safety rules, and standard operating procedures and follow GMP guidelines.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Department Manager.

Requirements include:

Ability to work independently with good knowledge of packaging equipment and conveyors, including fillers, cappers, labelers, and bundlers. Ability to develop and implement solutions and repairs.

• Electrical and Control logic understanding and trouble shooting.
