Athenian Grill is looking to add a professional team member in Lexington, KY. We are looking for a sous chef to join our team at The University of Kentucky Joe Craft Football Training Facility. You will be joining our chef and his team to serve the University of Kentucky football team and staff. We are located on 295 Alumni Dr. (Joe Craft Football Training Facility). Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.

Responsibilities/ Qualifications:
- Anticipate ingredient needs and arrange re-stock accordingly
- Assist the Head Chef to execute all planned meals
- Ensure a productive kitchen flow that upholds business standards
- Experience working as a lead cook or sous chef.
- Ability and knowledge to prep and execute made to order action stations, ie; omelet station, burrito bar.
- High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines.
- Able to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed.
- Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume.
- Excellent knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings & some weekends.
Job Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our professional team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to manage the kitchen operations, including preparation, and cooking. You will also assist in supervising the kitchen staff, ensure that all dishes are cooked to the highest standards of quality, and maintain the kitchen's cleanliness and organization.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $19.00 - $21.00/hour.
