What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Chef position at Athens Cooks?
Athens Cooks in Athens, GA is looking for one pastry chef to join our 17 person strong team. We are located on 100 Prince Ave Ste 103. Our ideal candidate is passionate about creating amazing, creative pastries using high quality ingredients and looking for both independence and a friendly team oriented environment .
Responsibilities
- Prepare from scratch bagels, cookies, tarts, cakes, breads, etc
- Measure and weigh ingredients
- Prepare according to existing recipes
- Create and adapt recipes
- Clean and sanitize work station and equipment
Qualifications
- Experience working as a pastry chef or similar role 1 years
- Familiar with various baking techniques
- Dedicated to working with a team towards one goal
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the kitchen area, especially sanitation
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency, ability to multi task
- Reliable transportation
- Available early mornings, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Potential to pick up additional shifts.
