Chichester School District is looking for a Assistant Athletic Director- Fall, Winter and Spring seasons.

We are looking for a candidate who will take pride in their work, providing SAFE, FUN environments for our students who participate in our Athletics program. 

The Assistant Athletic Director is responsible for assisting the Assistant Principal/Athletic and Activities Director with leadership, direction, supervision, operations, and accountability at the High School and to manage and oversee the High School interscholastic athletic program.

 

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR US: can include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists the Athletic and Activities Director in supervising the  Athletic program.
  • Supervise contests and events.
  • Schedule and supervise game works.
  • Schedule and confirm Officials for events.
  • Welcome and help visiting teams and spectators at events.
  • Provide leadership and guidance for sports and activities as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with school, league, PIAA, and Title IX policies
  • Coordinate buses for games and practice.
  • Mediate disputes between coaches and players.
  • Act as a liaison with visiting schools, event security, spectators.
  • Coordination with coaches about scheduling of games and practices.
  • Organize equipment and supplies for teams.
  • Maintain professional relationship with media sources and help with social media post for Athletic/Activities office.
  • Responsible to carry out all other duties assigned by the Assistant Principal/Athletic and Activities Director and/or a district administrator.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with Pennsylvania certification
  • Coaching experience
  • Knowledgeable of PIAA & Title IX rules and regulations; NCAA clearinghouse
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills; and ability to work cooperatively with others

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be capable to organize equipment/uniforms and mobile to navigate practice fields, buses and all school facilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands or arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.

  • PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release -A separate form must be completed for: Current employer; and All former employers that were school entities; and All former employers where you were in a position that involved direct contact with children.
