We are currently seeking a Melt Helper at our facility in Monroe, NC. As a Melt Helper, you are an integral part of a successful team that is responsible for supporting our operations in the Nickel Melt Shop.
As a melt helper, you will be responsible for assisting Melters in pouring molten metal into molds, removing hot, solidified metal from molds, and welding lifting lugs onto raw materials. A successful candidate will need to demonstrate an eagerness to learn and to be challenged. Strong communication, commitment to teamwork, and attention to detail are also important in this role.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of tasks to assist in set-up, running, and tearing down furnaces
- Identify material coming out of molds
- Transport and ship electrodes
- Maintain logs and records
- Follow prescribed safety regulations
- Maintain accurate, complete, and legible logs, records, and charts
