ATI is seeking to hire a Senior Metallurgical Engineer to support the Specialty Materials business unit. This position will be based in Monroe, NC.
Responsibilities :
- Review customer specifications and support sales teams by approving customer quotes
- Create and implement items, recipes, mill instructions and other quality system documents for Nickel billet products
- Review deviations and nonconformances, and determine root causes to prevent recurrence
- Support certifications and testing of Nickel billet orders and shipments
- Utilize Continuous Improvement tools throughout the manufacturing process of Nickel Forged Bar products, particularly for nuclear power end uses, leading to increased yield, better quality, and reduced costs
- Provide technical support to supply chain, operations, and quality to facilitate the manufacture and shipment of material
- Provide technical support to commercial teams during customer engagement for both on-site and off-site meetings
- Communicate results to management, colleagues and customers in the form of written reports and oral presentations
Basic Qualifications
Master of Science in Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline with 2 years of professional engineering experience in a manufacturing setting; OR
