Description
Summary: Provides Accounting support to Controller and other accounting departments. Department is responsible for complete oversight of all financial aspects of the company. Under the direction of the Controller and Sr. Accountant, the Accounting Assistant will assist with balancing the financial records, posting transactions, reconciling accounts, data mining, problem solving and process auditing. In addition to other accounting duties as assigned and learning all aspects of the department.
Responsibilities:
- Daily posting of Credit Card/ACH Deposits
- Assist with GL reconciliations
- Assist with month end closings
- Bi-Weekly employee payroll (part 1-screening)
- Bi-weekly 401k and HSA reporting
- Month-End journal entries
- Health Insurance payroll reconciliations
- Export financial reports from RFMS and manipulate in Excel
- Pull reports for other departments and manipulate in Excel
- Assist Sub-AP with subcontractor pay
- Learn subcontractor pay reconciliation
- Alternate processor/checker for installer payroll
- Create and update Excel spreadsheets with accuracy
- Respond to emails, phone calls and requests in a timely manner
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Bachelors degree (preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of Accounting Principles (required)
- Ability to meet weekly mandatory deadlines while maintaining accuracy finished product (required)
- Strong research and problem-solving skills (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (required)
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task (required)

- Proficiency with math and related concepts (required)
- Experience with RFMS a plus
