An Associate Relationship Manager is responsible for supporting the relationship management team in developing new clients and expanding the business relationship with existing clients through new product and service offerings.  The Associate Relationship Manager will serve as a sales assistant working with other departments to ensure sales, marketing, product, and onboarding are completed in a timely and effective manner.  This role will focus on community financial institutions and be based in a commutable proximity to Camp Hill, PA or Glastonbury, CT.
 

Essential Duties


Relationship Management

  • Assists with portfolio planning and relationship management activities with new and existing clients to grow clients, sales, revenue, and market share
  • With direction, expands and retains client relationships to generate revenue and deepen share of wallet. Supports the analysis, presentation, negotiation and documentation of credit and non-credit products and services
  • Supports client opportunities by providing ideas and insights based on an understanding of the client's needs and their financial well-being. Focuses on increasing client engagement and loyalty
  • Support onboarding activities including risk management, implementations, documentation, and training.

Risk Management

  • Actively identifies and mitigates different types of risk, such as regulatory, reputational, operational and credit risks.

Professional Development

  • Builds an effective network of internal and external relationships, such as community and industry relationships, to actively acquire new clients and/or expand existing clients and enhance the client experience. Focuses on bringing entire bank to the client by presenting the full range of products and services.  Leverages reporting and sales tools to proactively identify and      successfully convert sales opportunities
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support ACBB’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework

Additional Duties

 

Sales Support

  • provide sales process assistance to RM and Manager to increase pipeline balance and volume and shorten sales cycle
  • Review aggregate and RM portfolios to highlight product sales opportunities
  • Develop analysis tools to validate ACBB value proposition
  • Create proposals and presentations to communicate ACBB value
  • Support sales activities pre and post-sale to include agenda development, follow up letters and project plans

Product Strategy Support

  • Assist the product team by performing market research
  • Conduct competitor analysis for price and capability
  • Model proposed pricing changes for client impact
  • Support client pro-forma price proposal development

Client Onboarding

  • provide post-sales support to the sales and relationship management teams
  • Understand the customer's requirements and ensure all documentation is complete 
  • Identify gaps or delays in the process and take appropriate actions
  • Support the team through follow-up and reminder client communications
  • Participate in training and demo sessions

Marketing Support 

  • Supports the efforts of the marketing team with campaigns, lead generation, event management and content development

Day-to-day Client Support

  • manage multiple bank assignments and client day to day activity
  • Builds lasting relationships with clients
  • Address questions and/or issues from clients
  • Supports the retention of existing customers
  • Communicates and coordinates with other departments

Administrative Functions

  • Schedule appointments with clients through phone calls or meetings
  • Serve as back-up point-of-contact for clients
  • Maintain account information in Salesforce

Participate in ad hoc projects, as needed

  • Client onboarding/conversions; system conversions, client historical data gathering and risk management efforts

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) plus years of relevant experience normally required
  • A college/university degree normally required
  • In lieu of a degree, combined education, and experience (military service included) will be considered
  • Specialized bank training and/or certifications are desired
  • Business Acumen-developing knowledge, insight, and understanding of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the bank’s business
  • Ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
  • Client Relationship Management-developing ability to determine and satisfy client needs and maintain a partnering relationship during engagements
  • Includes influencing, communicating, presenting, facilitating, managing and developing others
  • Customer Experience Management-follows strategies and techniques used to ensure that clients have a positive experience with the organization and its products and services at every touch point
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking-understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process
  • Ability to analyze situations fully and accurately and reach productive decisions
  • Effective Communications-understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
  • Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
  • Selling-applies knowledge of banking products and services to meet customer needs and enable them to achieve their financial goals
  • Identifies prospecting approaches to identify potential clients and create opportunities to sell financial solutions and ideas to clients
  • Tech Savvy-advise, educate and engage clients on a variety of technological tools and resources allowing them to explore solutions to achieve their goals and financial wellbeing
