Main Responsibilities
Commercial Duties
· In cooperation with Pricing analyst, you will follow up on quotes for high value freight
· You will identify new interesting business worth chasing
· Free time / storage evaluation and approval
· Daily contact with customers, and dedicated care of assigned customers per management
· Regular review of the Service Contracts vs minimum requirement
· Competition intelligence: analyze and report any change in competition pricing and service
· Maintain competition file
· You will ensure that all guidelines, storage and other terminal costs are in place and regularly reviewed and updated when needed
· You will follow up on equipment, to ensure that we always have the right balance available
· In cooperation with accounting department, you will follow up on late payment as required
· You will visit customers as required
· You will participate in person and /or remotely to sales, agency meetings as required
· You will be in direct contact with overseas offices of the Grimaldi Group
Operational Duties
· Daily contact with the Support team in Virginia Beach and other departments as needed
· Forecast for TEUS, Roro and Static cargo, in cooperation with Virginia Beach
· Cut off / Erd dates for containers / Roro
· Guidelines for weekly Roro schedule and final check before being sent
· Advise Support group of any schedule changes, revision, delay that may impact vessel’s forecast
· Monitor volumes vs vessel’s space
· Set / modify and upload container allocations as needed
· Liaison between Terminal / Operations / Virginia Beach departments / customers to solve issues
· Keep track of the terminal costs for distribution to Support team
· Follow up / guidance on Change of Destination requests
Analytic Tasks and Other
· Maintain in house statistics in line with business plan / targets set by Management
· Maintain customer based in house statistic on monthly basis
· Run Piers stats / analyze and present to Management for action as needed
Minimum Requirements
· A diploma or degree in business, maritime/logistic or supply chain related studies.
· 2 to 5 years of working experience in related industry.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
