AMI is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to assist the teams in the Vascular Institutes in Manahawkin, Toms River, and Brick.

The Certified Medical Assistant Is Responsible For The Following
The work schedule includes Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm.
Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Current & valid nationally accredited Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA or RMA) is required. A current American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained prior to the start of employment. Based on the nature of the role, hands-on, direct clinical care experience as a CMA is required. Previous experience with vascular, post-op, or wound care is strongly preferred.
Candidates must have well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly & effectively, verbally and in writing. Qualified candidates possess excellent organizational skills and are accurate & thorough in all aspects of their work. The ideal candidate possesses the initiative to set and achieve high standards of performance and has the ability to multitask under time constraints. Must be skilled in utilizing standard office equipment including computers.

The Certified Medical Assistant Is Responsible For The Following
- Performs wound care and dressing changes as directed by the provider, meticulously documenting procedures and patient responses.
- Triages patients and conducts vital sign assessments, including ankle-brachial index (ABI) measurements, with prompt and precise documentation.
- Supports patients with dressing and ambulating when necessary, utilizing lift assist devices to ensure safe transfers. Assists patients to and from exam rooms, chairs, and related equipment.
- Ensures smooth room turnover by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting surfaces.
- Gathers and inputs detailed patient history into the EMR for both new and follow-up visits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Responds to patient inquiries within the Medical Assistant’s scope, providing clear, informative, and compassionate communication.
- Assists with clerical responsibilities, including managing paperwork, scanning documents, and entering data to facilitate efficient office operations.
- Provides patients with clear post-visit education and instructions, enhancing their understanding of care plans and follow-up steps.
- Exhibits exceptional customer service skills, delivering thoughtful, empathetic care to foster a positive patient experience.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support the clinical team and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and provides patients with thoughtful, empathetic care at all times; and
- Performs all other duties as required and assigned.
