AMI is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to assist the team in the Neptune and Brick Vascular Institute office locations. This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient radiology practice!

The Certified Medical Assistant is primarily responsible for preparing the patient for their consultations with providers. Additionally, the Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for the following:
- Obtains and enters all patient history into EMR;
- Triage, performs vital signs and ABIs;
- Performs dressing changes;
- Answers patient questions within the scope of the Medical Assistant’s role;
- Assists with other clerical responsibilities as required and assigned, including all paperwork, scanning and computer data input;
- Assists with room turn-over, including, but not limited to, cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, and laundry duties;
- Assists patients with changing and or ambulating when necessary and must use all lift assist devices provided for safe transfer;
- Assists the physician during exams which requires Aseptic Technique training and procedure tray set up for biopsy under the direction of nursing;
- Prepares laboratory specimens and testing equipment as needed;
- Schedules and reschedules patients as needed;
- Provides patient with prepared post-education and instructions when appropriate;
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and provides patients with thoughtful, empathetic care at all times; and
- Performs all other duties as required and assigned.
This full-time, 40 hour per week position will be based in the Neptune and Brick Vascular Institutes. The work schedule includes Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm.
Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Current & valid Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA or RMA) is required and candidates must have, or be willing to obtain, the Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross. Hands-on, direct clinical care experience as a CMA is required. Previous experience with vascular, post-op, or wound care are preferred.
Candidates must have well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly & effectively, verbally and in writing. Qualified candidates possess excellent organizational skills and are accurate & thorough in all aspects of their work. The ideal candidate possesses the initiative to set and achieve high standards of performance and has the ability to multitask under time constraints. Must be skilled in utilizing standard office equipment including computers.
