What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at Atlantic Medical Management?
Essential Functions:
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation
- Assists with payroll processing to including answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, running reports, end-of-year and other system maintenance and configurations, end-of-year preparations, etc.
- Answers questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, payroll, etc.; refers complex questions to HR Administrator or Director of Human Resources
- Maintains integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
- Conducts new employee onboarding
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in payroll and communicates these changes to Director of Human Resources
- Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with company policies.
- Conforms to acceptable attendance and punctuality standards as expressed in the Employee Handbook.
- Complies with all safety rules and protocols. Reports all accidents, regardless of severity, immediately to supervisor and completes incident/injury report for, which needs to be forwarded to Human Resources within 24 hours of incident.
- Abides by the company’s compliance program, policies and procedures.
- Remains current with all required training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred
- One year of human resource experience
- One year of payroll experience
