POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Therapist provides individual, family, group, addictions and other therapies to clients and their families according to the privileges they have been granted.
The Clinical Therapist is responsible for completing an assessment, providing a comprehensive Master Treatment Plan for all new admissions and appropriately re-assessing the client’s needs throughout treatment. The Clinical Therapist is responsible for documenting all client interactions, including all sessions with clients, families and significant others.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Behavioral Health required. Therapists providing Assessment, Treatment Planning and Psychotherapy to SA/MICA clients must have 60 hours of training specific to addiction services.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid LCSW or LPC license or Licensed Professional Counselor required.
EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in a behavioral health setting required. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the Mission HealthCare environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping and crouching a majority of the workday. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier.

This position reports to the Executive Director.
