* High School degree or equivalent.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other security related applications/programs required.
* All certifications and training listed below are required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer.
* BLS required effective 4/1/2021, existing incumbents with HSAED will be required to renew with BLS prior to the expiration of their current HSAED certification, all new hires effective this same date are required to have BLS within 6 months of hire or transfer
* CPI required within 6 months from date of hire or transfer; once obtained kept current at all time.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Officer performs safety and security tours according to established Security Department Management Plans and Standard Operating Procedures. The Security Officer provides and preserves a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff at AtlantiCare campuses and facilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other security related applications/programs required.

Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, hazardous substances, and potential injury. Exposure to all weather conditions during patrols and post. Moderate to heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling, continuous walking and standing.
