Atlas Roofing Shingle and Underlayment is seeking a Reliability Engineering Manager for Clinton, IA.
Reliability Engineering Manager Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and reporting progress for a long-term reliability improvement plan.
- Analyzing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends – Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), premature failures.
- Conducting root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of problems.
- Developing and implementing new maintenance procedures, including predictive maintenance routes.
- Finding new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability – maintain all relevant or related certifications.
- Provide guidance on usage of technology – vibration analysis, thermal imaging, ultrasonic analysis, oil analysis, etc., maintain reliability related test equipment - including calibration.
- Developing and implementing training programs for employees – leadership, operator basic care, and predictive maintenance.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Travel occasionally to other Atlas facilities, training, and to visit vendors.
- Provide reliability support to Clinton, IA (primary) and other Atlas facilities as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Supervises plant maintenance personnel when maintenance superintendent is unavailable
- Maintains supervision of contractors at the facility when assigned.
Reliability Engineering Manager Experience
- 7 – 10 years in maintenance department.
Reliability Engineering Manager Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Computer skills require usage of Excel, Word, People Soft, E-Maint.
- Requires excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Provide plant leadership without direct authority.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
Reliability Engineering Manager Education, Licenses & Certifications
- Some college preferred in a technical related field but will consider previous experience.
- Preferred Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
- Preferred Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE).
- Preferred Vibration Analyst CAT II
- Preferred Machinery Lubrication Technician CAT II
