Responsibilities
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on the development and implementation of the cutting edge machine learning algorithms, training sophisticated models, collaborating with Product, Engineering and Analytics teams to build the AI functionalities into each Atlassian product and service.
Your daily responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of tasks such as designing system and model architectures, conducting rigorous experimentation and model evaluations and providing guidance to junior ML engineers. Your role is pivotal, stretching beyond theses tasks, ensuring AI’s transformative potential is realizes across our offerings.

To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $176,400 - $230,300
Zone B: $159,300 - $207,975
Zone C: $146,700 - $191,525
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
