What are the responsibilities and job description for the MA or LPN - Referral Specialist position at Atmore Community Hospital?
Full-time position @ ACH Complete Care
Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00
This position will be primarily be referrals and some patient care. Promotes quality and continuity of care by performing patient assessment and education, providing physician assistance, assisting in the coordination of procedures and providing effective communication to achieve ACH's standards of quality, efficiency and desired outcomes.
Assesses the physical and psychosocial needs of the patient including obtaining medical history, medical record documentation including coding, taking vital signs, weight, height, temperature and giving injections.
Provides assistance to physicians during patient’s exam and special procedures, ensures the availability of adequate supplies and instruments, and carries out collection and proper disposal/sterilization techniques.
Maintains and promotes health and prevents injury through effective communication, counseling, and education of patients and family.
Requirements:
Current LPN Licensure with State of Al. or Medical Assistant Certification.
Current BLS card thru American Heart Association
