Director of Retail Fulfillment
- This role requires a growth-focused, experienced leader with expertise in retailer compliance, lot management, EDI, routing guides, and CPG retail fulfillment. The ideal candidate can manage diverse responsibilities, build processes, and grow a strong, cohesive team.
- The Director of Retail Fulfillment at Atomix has a unique role beyond traditional 3PL operations. You’ll oversee B2B wholesale fulfillment while creating workflows and metrics (like RFID, picking paths, SOPs, and KPIs) for a new 50,000 sq. ft. facility.
- Ideal candidates have experience in 3PL fulfillment or strong knowledge of B2B operations, EDI, retailer compliance, and team building, to recruit and train them.
Key Responsibilities
B2B Operational Planning:
- Manage the end-to-end B2B order process, ensuring timely & accurate delivery of retail orders - from onboarding of new clients to tens of retail partners per client,
- Resource Allocation, Budget & Demand Planning: Involvement in Monthly/Quarterly Budget Planning. Outlining required resources for division, in particular to ensure on-time & in-fill B2B KPI metric consistently outperforms customers expectation.
- Operational Excellence: Monitor warehouse operations to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and support scalability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of warehouse and retail operations staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Inventory Management:
- Control: Prepare inventory control procedures including replenishment, inbound/outbound, scheduling freight, loading and unloading, error proofing, and cycle count inspections.
- Inbound: Maintain window time plan vs. actual. Create transportation schedules for multiple daily freight forwarders with retailers.
- Expiration Date and LOT Management: Implement and oversee systems to track product expiration dates and LOT numbers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Retailer Standards
- Retailer Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with retail partners, acting as a liaison to ensure their needs are consistently met.
- Recall Management: Develop and execute protocols for product recalls, minimizing impact while ensuring regulatory and client requirements are met.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, especially regarding product traceability and safety standards.
WMS Technology & Data
- Platform Integration: Utilize and optimize platforms like SPS Commerce to enhance order accuracy, invoicing, and retailer communications.
- Data and Performance Analysis: Use analytics to track operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive strategic initiatives. Create impactful data visualizations & reports to communicate insights to stakeholders, tailored to both executives and clients.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; preferred.
- 8 years of experience in B2B retail operations
- Strong leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP, and CRM tools.
Nice to Haves
- Experience managing expiration-dated products and LOT tracking.
- Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing teams of 10 or more individuals.
