- This person needs to look at existing workflows and be able to identify improvements and then develop a roadmap for improvement.
- Needs to be able to identify meaningful KPI’s and can effectively measure performance.
- Thinks strategically about the big picture.
- Is very strong in excel, power point and can develop reports in Spotfire.
- Hit the ground running with little to no supervisor involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Management:
Assigning work, scheduling shifts, evaluating performance, and providing guidance to dispatchers/Controllers. Oversee all daily jobs are scheduled and completed to the customers’ satisfaction. Will be the main point of contact for all logistics Controllers.
- Training and Development:
Participating in the selection, training, and development of dispatch/Controller personnel, including identifying training needs and making recommendations.
- Operational Oversight:
Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations, maintaining accurate records, and managing dispatch equipment.
- Emergency Response:
Coordinating emergency situations, prioritizing dispatch needs, and maintaining communication with field units. Ability to quickly respond to urgent requests and execute with efficiency.
- Problem Solving:
Resolving day-to-day issues, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and handling complaints. Ability to interface with hauling companies to resolve logistical issues.
- Communication and Collaboration:
Maintaining effective communication with dispatchers/Controllers, other departments, and external stakeholders. Ability to understand and work with the operations personnel in the field.
- Policy and Procedure Development:
Contributing to the development, implementation, and updating of dispatch policies and procedures. Must be able to drive the build out of the logistics Console. Will be responsible for all implementations and improvements to the process. Looking for someone who understands the broader picture and can take the program to the next level.
- Ensuring Safe Practices:
Promoting safe work practices and procedures within the dispatch center.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyzing workload data and generating reports on KPI’s that are delivered to key stakeholders. Ensures reports are accurate and delivered in a timely fashion. Must be able to draw correlation about performance based on available data and deliver improvement recommendations.
