Clinical Supervisor – RNDepartment: Care Transitions / Recuperative CareLocation: Sacramento, CASchedule: Full-Time | Sunday–Thursday | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (shift flexibility as needed)FLSA Status: ExemptSalaryt: $122,300 Position SummaryThe Clinical Supervisor – RN provides clinical leadership and operational oversight within a high-acuity Recuperative Care (Medical Respite) setting. This role supports and supervises nursing and support staff, ensuring safe, compliant, and client-centered care for individuals experiencing homelessness and complex medical, behavioral health, and substance use conditions.The Supervisor oversees nursing operations, medication management workflows, staff development, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance while fostering a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and collaborative culture. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical supervision, coaching, and mentorship to RNs, LVNs, and support staffOversee all medication management processes, including patient self-administration protocolsEnsure compliance with clinical policies, Joint Commission standards, and regulatory requirementsPerform RN clinical duties including assessments, vitals, venipuncture, immunizations, and treatmentsTrain new hires and existing staff on nursing duties, workflows, and best practicesMonitor, audit, and improve medication management and documentation within the EHR (Epic preferred)Collaborate with risk management on incident review, root cause analysis, and prevention strategiesParticipate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring nursing and support staffLead staff meetings, case conferences, and in-service trainingsDevelop and update Recuperative Care policies and proceduresSupport quality improvement initiatives and data accuracyParticipate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent clinical matters as neededWork collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team serving high-acuity clients Required QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of CaliforniaGraduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience with adult populations (leadership experience preferred)Experience supervising or mentoring nursing and support staffStrong physical assessment and clinical decision-making skillsExperience working with underserved populations, including individuals experiencing homelessnessKnowledge of medication administration, interactions, and effects (including while intoxicated)Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environmentsExcellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skillsComputer proficiency, including EHRs (Epic preferred), Microsoft Word, and ExcelWillingness to work holidays, weekends, alternate shifts, and participate in on-call rotationBilingual (Spanish or other languages) a plus Benefits & PerksCompetitive salaryComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits at reduced employee costCompany-paid life insurance and long-term disabilityRetirement plan with company match (no vesting period)Paid time off, sick leave, bereavement leave, and jury duty11 paid holidays annuallyFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Company-paid malpractice insuranceAnnual professional development hoursCompany DescriptionFor over 30 years, clients and candidates have entrusted AtWork to provide workforce solutions nationwide.
