We have an opportunity for a Human Resources Specialist to join us in the Franklin, TN office. This position will partner with the HR Manager to manage the employee relations, employee development, talent management, organizational development functions and day-to-day operations and procedures in the Human Resources (HR) department in a multi-state environment. Ideal candidates will strongly support our company culture built on collaboration, trust and fun.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Recruiter and Hiring Managers to ensure all new hires have a smooth onboarding process
- Responsible for the data entry and record retention for the HR department
- Management of the annual open enrollment process as well as ongoing enrollment for benefits
- Management of the annual performance evaluation process for all employees
- Management of employee Performance Improvement Plans and other disciplinary action
- Experience in HRIS management across several systems, recruiting, employee relations and training; understanding of HR data is desired.
- Maintain compliance through federal reporting
- Collaborates with the HR Director regarding continuous process improvement and strategic projects within the human resources function
- Assist HR Department in the creation and development of policies and procedures
- Conduct investigations and assist in employee relations issues
- Conduct and process employee terminations, including exit interviews
- Develop training materials based on organizational needs
- Point of contact for employees regarding HR related concerns
- Perform professional level human resources support in functional areas such as employee relations, compensation, training, employment, labor relations, safety, and personnel research
- Other relevant tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 3 years’ progressive HR work experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of Human Resource concepts and company HR policies, programs and procedures
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Docs
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with flexibility
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
- Ability to work flexible hours to work with employees on the East and West coast
- Conducts oneself with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote respectful work environment
- Ability to travel as needed to office locations across the US
